Solar Energy Farms

Solar Energy Farms

Invest In America's Future

Solar farms (sometimes known as solar fields) are the large-scale application of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels to generate green, clean electricity at scale, usually to feed into the existing electric power grid.

Solar farms go through a rigorous planning procedure before they are approved. This takes into account the suitability of the specific site and any potential impact . Solar also creates investment and local green jobs, while reducing the reliance on overseas fossil fuel imports. Solar farms are eligible for financial incentives from the government to decrease our dependence on fossil fuels.

But what really excites us here at Boyle Enterprises is that we have created a model where anyone can get paid for power produced on the solar farm. Just like having the panels on your house.

Best Practices

We will focus on non-agricultural land or land which is of lower agricultural quality. We will be sensitive to nationally and locally protected landscapes and nature conservation areas, and we welcome opportunities to enhance the ecological value of the land. We will minimize visual impact where possible and maintain appropriate screening throughout the lifetime of the project managed through a Land Management and/or Ecology plan. We will engage with the community in advance of submitting a planning application, including seeking the support of the local community and listening to their views and suggestions. We will encourage land diversification by proposing continued agricultural use or incorporating biodiversity measures within our projects. We will do as much buying and employing locally as possible. We will act considerately during construction, and demonstrate ‘solar stewardship’ of the land for the lifetime of the project. We will offer investment opportunities to communities in their local solar farms where there is local appetite and where it is commercially viable. We commit to using the solar farm as an educational opportunity, where appropriate. At the end of the project life we will return the land to its former use.
